An Evening at the Lake

Greetings, Stuffie friends!
As you can see, we finally escaped the Apartment to enjoy a little time at Bde Maka Ska this evening. Scottie’s plan was to jump off the balcony directly into the lake. However, based on a very close vote, we decided to take the stairs down. Loonie spotted some mallard friends enjoying an evening swim. We went over to catch up on the local news.

After a good long chat with them (ducks sure know how to talk), we went to the beach. People were enjoying the cool and refreshing water. It had been a pretty hot day out here.

The sailboats were having a super time in the breeze. It must feel awesome to have the wind in your fur or feathers on one of those boats.

On the way to the playground, we discovered a big stack of canoes. Sadly, they were all locked tonight. We’ll have to come back during a weekend day (when people often take them out) and try for a ride then.

When we got to the playground, we found the rope climb not being used. This is one of the best beach play things and is usually swarming with kids. Sure a lot more fun than when we climbed it in the winter.

We then found the slide… also with no kids. Lucky us! We had a great time siding and enjoying ourselves.

We hope to get out in the morning when the sailing class starts… just maybe we can get on a boat! And Monte wants to check out the fishing dock where he’ll hopefully find some cousins. We’ll keep you posted.
