Oscar's Off to Get Some Pisa (my trip to Italy)
Well, Rome was just so big. There were way too many nude statues. But it was still pretty cool and the food was excellent. The pizza was my favorite. I delivered my letters and went to check out the coliseum. I’d heard so many cool stories about the lions they released in the arena. But there weren’t any lions! At least there were lots of humans. Constantine’s arch was really fun to fly through. I totally felt like a general coming home from victory, as I had just delivered my letters.
I stopped by on my way to Venice. I thought it was the tower of Pizza, so I didn’t bring any snacks. Now I’m hungry! Maybe I’ll stop for something in Venice. It was really, really tall. The view from up top was amazing but nothing new. (I mean, I fly everywhere.) Is it just me, or is this thing crooked?
The winged lions were scary. I’m not so sure that lions in Rome would be a good idea anymore. In this picture, you can see an awning to the right. That’s Florian’s restaurant where I ate lunch. I may have had 10 cones of gelato. St. Mark’s Cathedral had lots of gold and was quite big and just so many arches and paintings. Got to go- I’m off to India to see some elephants!
