Small Friends Go on a Holiday Tour
We found this cool wreath in the hallway and it was just our size! How cozy to be hanging out in some mittens. They aren’t very fuzzy. This wreath made us want to get into the holiday cheer. So we decided to get some transportation and see what else was out there.
Turns out this one just goes around and around. We needed to find something that could really take us places.
Helicopters are awesome! None of us knew how to drive a helicopter so we found a pilot to do so for us. Gertie wanted to learn how, so she watched the pilot while he was showing us around. We were a little squashed inside the copter. That is not normal for us, so Genie decided to hitch a ride with Little Guy 2. Predictably, he didn’t want to ride in the helicopter because he said it was way more fun to hang from the rescue rope. LG2: “It’s like flying on your own at 1,000,000 miles/hour. WHEEEE!!!!”
Things were going well with our flight until…. we crashed into a holiday gnome. How did we not see that one coming?! LG2: “Can we fire the pilot and let Gertie drive?” Francis & Genie: “Maybe the first part, but not the second part. Gertie should take some lessons first. Also, can she see over the dashboard?”
Luckily, he didn’t mind us crashing and we hung out with him for a little while.
After we fixed up our copter, we flew by this beautiful tree. Sparkly and covered with holiday ornaments. Little Guy 2 wanted to taste the candy canes, but we were going too fast for him to grab one. Maybe next time, friend!
Why are stockings all so cozy and warm? We thought for sure the snow person would be frosty and cold. Must be made out of some super-weird snow. It never melts!
Who is this guy, anyway? He has a weird curvy pole thing that we thought for sure would be made of chocolate. It is not. YUCK! Brown paper does not taste good. Or like chocolate. Zero stars for that treat.
This tree is LOUD! We tried to get out of there pretty quickly after that surprise, but couldn’t help noticing the spruce branches. They smelled like the tree we passed earlier.
We found this cozy little house. It was quite full, but there was just enough room for a very small turtle and lizard. We didn’t mind being left out because these red flower thingys are the best! SO soft and wonderful. We might just sleep here tonight…
Quite honestly, this may have been the best discovery of our trip. Now, this is chocolate! And candies and frosting and cookies and yumminess all around. We decided to eat our way down from the chimney. We thought about going inside. We were worried about getting stuck in there. Oh, wait, we could have just eaten our way out. We’re a little worried about what this night will hold after Little Guy 2 ate the entire yard… and most of the second house.
LG2: “Not true- you ate at least half of the other house. I might be able to control the usual sugar craziness. Or maybe not… Yipeee! How fast can I run in circles? Can I jump as high as the ceiling? Sure can! Next I’m going to jump onto the counter and head to the sink for a swim. Wait, a minute- what are these delicious treats with butterscotch and marshmallows and chocolate chips? Looks like I found dinner!”
