Training for the Olympics

Hello, Stuffie friends!
You’ll be hearing more about our exciting European vacation very soon. In the meantime, we want to catch you up on our Apartment happenings. There’s a lot of cool amenities here. They installed a hot beverage machine e that is super popular. It has hot chocolate, fancy and regular coffee, chai, and tea. And even a variety of exotic syrups to add flavor.

While we’re doing our coffee stop, I’ve noticed that dogs come in and are excited to stop at the front desk. We explored to find out why. Turns out there is a giant bowl of treats. It took a little work to get the lid off.

Once I got inside and dug into the biscuits, I found out they aren’t sweet. Maybe next time some real candy will show up! In the meantime, there are always the game nights and community get-togethers. They always come with tasty treats.

Now, some of you detail-oriented fans may be aware that our last tour of the facilities gave us the idea of trying out for the Olympics. You may be wondering how all these high-calorie coffee drinks and free snacks fit into the picture.

Here’s the secret- we’ve been tagging along on Dan’s workouts at the gym. There’s so much cool exercise equipment that it’s hard to decide which ones to use.

First choice was easy- bike riding- because it comes with the best view of the TV.

And then this machine helps us build muscles after our cardio workout. It’s a little tricky to maneuver for friends our size. Luckily, we have some help when we need it.

Next, we usually head to the indoor swimming pool. There’s often other families swimming there. In the winter, there are some regular visitors that start their mornings playing with snow and then come in here for a swim. What a place!

Loonie and Amelia are particularly interested in the pool, since they are excellent swimmers and a natural at all water sports. Penne, however, is pretty disappointed because there’s no diving in this pool. How’s a penguin to have any fun, then? He does seem to enjoy the swimming and does lots of flips and sliding to make up for the lack of aerial stunts.

The only thing we wish this Apartment had was a spa. We make do with this very relaxing and rejuvenating planter. It’s almost the same. We’ll be back soon with news from our travels!
