Visit to the Lake Goes Swimmingly
Yeti here. You probably remember yesterday when we were cooking over the hot fire in the 1,000,000 degree heat. And you probably read about some friends taking a nap in a sleeping bag. (I don’t know what they were thinking! Then again, I do travel with this cozy, warm winter hat on 24/7/365. So, I’m often hot.)
We sure were glad to get down to the lake for a quick swim! It was so fun running (I mean walking) on the dock and checking out the ladders. One ladder in particular was especially interesting…
Yup, you see that right- there’s a hose at the top! Our new friend Deckers explained that it gets hooked up for the campers and becomes a waterslide into the lake! What?! That’s the coolest idea ever! We’ll have to convince Scottie and the birds to put one in at their lake. Or maybe we can team up with RoaRRRy and Froggy 2 and Rocky and all those friends to build one at their house. One thing is for sure- we need a water slide ASAP! Especially since we didn’t get to go down this one. BOO! Maybe next time?
Speaking of maybe next time, we can’t wait to try out these rainbow sherbet mobiles. We’re positive that when you chill them, they turn into giant ice cream pops you can eat. MMM…Mmmm! So many things to wait for!
While we were hanging out on the ice cream popmobiles, we noticed a familiar game across the way. We’ve played Gaga (like dodgeball for your legs) at some other camps. This is the greatest! (In case you’re wondering, our smallest friends didn’t play, they wanted to cheer. If we’d had small dodgeballs just their size, they would have joined for sure.)
Ummm…. That was NOT fun. Maybe because Deckers and I were shorter than the ball? Maybe because there were only 2 of us? When one of us pushed the ball, the other one started to roll off it, almost ending up underneath. Then we had to jump out of the way to avoid getting squashed. (Repeat as needed).
It was very hot and frustrating. We earned our break in the shade. Lucky for us, there is this cool umbrella right by the lake. And it’s conveniently located along the trail from the campsites and the High Ropes course. If we time this right, the staff will be finishing up their training and wander by just in time to bring us to the Dining Hall for a delicious frozen snack. Hello, Staff? Anyone? Anyone?
