Frolic in the Flowers

Hello, Stuffie Friends!

Scottie here. We were reading our friends’ post about their trip to the Peony garden and it reminded us to share our trip to the U of M Arboretum last month. We brought our Irish friends to visit and even threw in a free lunch - how could they refuse? It was a gorgeous day with incredible flowers everywhere we looked.

Like our friends in Oregon, each of us found different points of interest. I was excited for all the climbing possibilities offered. Snowflake and I had a wonderful time.

I love being up high! This was Monte’s first time climbing (which makes sense since he’s a crab). Monte said he’d never do it again but he’s glad he tried it.

I even found a Scotch pine to relax in for a while. What an amazing tree! What a cute squirrel!

After we tired of climbing, we found some great flowers….to hide in. They matched our color, so good luck funding us.

We think Flambe wins the prize…

That was a warm-up round. Can you find him in this shrubbery?

Don’t worry if you couldn’t! I was there and I had trouble finding him. Luckily, the fish in the pond were easier to spot. These funny looking fish called Koi. Apparently they are special and originate from Japan.

Next we found several ponds which we didn’t know existed. One of them was an lovely pond filled with ducks and frogs. It was really fun to walk around and find all of our hidden friends. Some of them we could only hear and never did see.

We also found a nice waterfall in the shade.

Our final water feature was one we must have visited in the winter. It looked a lot different frozen and lit up for the Holidays Lights display. Amelia, our resident expert on all things water, remembered it perfectly. Today was really hot, so we spent a lot of time enjoying a dip in the water when no one was looking. Shhh…

We are extremely excited to be part of the upcoming Taste & Toast event here. Snacks and fancy drinks? You’ve called on the right helpers for that one. We’ll be there with bells on. Hope to see you there!
