Taking a Break from it All

Hey, All You Stuffie Fans! Yeti here.

S’mores and I were talking recently about my plan to become Ruler of the Universe. He suggested that maybe we take a little time off from campaigning. According to him, I’m becoming “a little obsessed” and “too driven to be fun”… what does that mean? I’ve been taking time to smell the flowers!

And I’ve been kicking back and relaxing in trees… while scheming about which states and countries I should visit next on my grand tour. Where will I find the most favorable audiences? Which will provide the best exposure for my campaign? Where do the power players hang out and how can I best connect with them? You know, the usual summer afternoon musings. Practically naptime!

Also pictured in the tree is our new friend Selena, who really likes flowers. She’s agreed to be our social media influencer. Selena’s got great connections with thousands of local birds- they often stop for a chat at the local watering hole (birdbath). The songbirds are apparently quite the gossips, which should work in my favor to get the word out. Start your tweeting and chirping, everyone!

And, while Froggy was busy climbing trees in her backyard, we met another new friend, Cake.

Cake is kind of shy, but talks a lot about different types of bugs. Not only is he an amateur insect enthusiast, he's also a cupcake connoisseur. That is why I asked him to be the official caterer for all our upcoming fundraising events. He’ll preview all the dessert selections and ensure that we only have the most delicious, top-quality treats. I don’t want to get a reputation for lackluster mediocrity.

That’s why I find it’s important to check in with my campaign advisors on a regular basis.

Sneaks had some great ideas about partnering with local organizations to get the word out to the public. He connected with the Duluth Library and got them to change their book return to feature yours truly, Yeti.

Well, they definitely missed something. I’m afraid that doesn’t do much for my image. People are likely to be confused that I am a furry mountain creature that wants to eat books. Yikes! We’ll have to be more careful in future. Speaking of libraries, we came across this situation recently.

Perhaps you can weigh in on this sign. Is it a park containing only books? A library only about parks? A place to park your books? I’m adding it to the list of things I’ll take care of as your future Ruler of the Universe. No more confuzzling signs that lead you to waste valuable brainpower trying to make sense of them. Things will say what they are and mean what they say. “Ice Cream Island”- that will be an island made of ice cream with a shop that serves only ice cream and toppings. Can’t wait! The crowds will line up around the block.

This pileup of friends is anxiously awaiting the opening of Ice Cream Island. We’ll see you there very soon! If you’ll excuse me, I need to go test out some thrones. Don’t worry- I find it very relaxing.
