Working Hard for our Party
Hello, Everyone! Scottie and Amelia Airheart here. We recently got invited to a very fun backyard (and front yard and indoor) wedding party/celebration. Honestly, it sounded pretty perfect. Summer BBQ menu, casual event, lots of delicious desserts on hand, a happy couple…
And, don’t worry. We got to the party eventually. It’s just that our reputation for hard work and quality results preceded us. We had a bunch of jobs to accomplish before we “earned” our trip to the treats.
We had to chop some firewood. No problem! Done this before.
We restocked the Pickleball cache.
We stopped to smell some flowers.
We snacked on some acorns. (Hey, it’s an important job! Someone had to take care of it.)
We harvested some grapes. It was our first time, but we figured it out. Ober was excited to learn these grapes came over from Germany with a great-great-great grandparent. Pretty cool! And delicious.
We fed the fish in the Lakes Miesle.
We surveyed the milkweed and looked for monarch butterflies. There were quite a few!
We checked on the bird house residents. They weren’t at home, so we left them a note. Hope they can read!
And, finally, it was time to party! Luckily, there was still room in the bounce house.
And plenty of food left for us. Whew!
Until next time!
