More from the Baltics

Hey, all, it’s another travel tip Yeti! It’s always a good idea to study a place you want to visit before you go. How else will you find out if there are plenty of fish to eat? Or swordfish to dodge? You’re welcome.

Hello, Stuffie fans! It’s Scottie and friends, reporting to you from Prague, our final European destination. Thanks to Yeti’s suggestion, we read lots of reviews in advance. We didn’t want to waste any time looking for the best ice cream stands. Especially important as the sunny weather was following us around! Prague is located on a scenic river. See that boat speeding away from the railing? We got to ride on it. It went pretty fast, so we had to keep our camera safely stowed.

After that, it was back to walking tours. We discovered there were a lot more visitors here wandering around. Maybe it was all the artists and buskers in every courtyard and on every bridge? There was always something beautiful to look at or listen to. For example, there was this Astronomical clock. It has been telling the time since 1410 (that’s 615 years)! At the top of every hour, it rings and the doors open for the 12 apostles to come out to greet the (very large) crowd.

Of course, Flambee was the first to spot the BIG castle on the hill behind all the people. Apparently some of his relatives live up there.

After hanging out with the dragons at the castle, we stopped at several museums dedicated to famous composers. We enjoyed learning more about Smetana and Dvorak.

We tried to do some conducting of the orchestra, but it didn’t sound like much.

After leaving the museums, we were feeling tired. We found these sweet old cars that take tourists around the city. We were hoping to catch a ride, but we had to choose between these and a sunset cruise on an electric boat. (Spoiler alert- boats win every time!)

That evening, we found out we’d definitely made the right decision. Seeing the best parts of the city from the water at dusk was cool. We didn’t know they were also going to be playing special music from the cities’ composers. It was very special.

And, just before the sunset, we got a great view of the Castle. (You can’t see the dragons because they wait to fly at night. That way they don’t scare anyone.)

On our last morning, we came across this super Stuffie. Unfortunately, he was to too big to join us on our travels. We had to say goodbye to Ron. Hope to see you again, buddy!

We had a great time on our trip. We talked a lot, saw many castles, did fun tours, met some new Stuffie friends, and enjoyed SO much fantastic ice cream. We’d do it all again tomorrow. But, for now…

Signing off from Europe,

-Scottie, Amelia, Flambe, Ober and Gràineag
