Oh, Christmas Trees!
Hello, dearest Stuffie friends & fans! It’s me, Scottie, reporting to you again from the Minnesota Arboretum. (If you thought we loved the outdoor lights display, wait until you see how much we enjoyed the trees indoors.)
To start with, have you ever seen a tree made out of pointsettias? We sure hadn’t. This one was TALL. Here’s a sense of scale. See the wooden beams on the roof in the picture above? Here’s them up close with other lights…
The pointsettia tree reached as high as those lowest beams. I know- wild! Flambe and Flicker had a grand time flying up and around all those stars and twinkle lights. While they were gallivanting around, we went into the room filled with Christmas trees. Each tree is sponsored and decorated by a different group.
Shout out to all our friends at Public Libraries! And to a certain Stuffie household that used to be in Carver. As we traveled around the room, we found a tree for everyone. One for the swimmers…
And the owls…
Sorry, friend! Didn’t mean to wake you up from your nap.
There was a tree for bears that love honey…
And squirrels that love snacks…
There was even a tree for friends that love photography and art…
Okay, that’s none of us. But we knew some of you would appreciate it! We got distracted by the smell of gingerbread and were off in a little place called the “Hideaway.” (They don’t want you to know about it, because it’s filled with crafts & maybe snacks…?)
The fish who stay here all the time must get annoyed. All those delicious smells and visitors and they just can’t get out to enjoy them…
We’ll be hiding in this tree until the free evening concert happens. Apparently they have one every night! We can’t wait.
Hope there are many fun trees in your future this winter!
